🎓 Can I have your notes?

We'll use our Spanish vocab to ask for a favor

Hola 👋

Let’s use our basic Spanish to ask a university friend for a favor to get those notes we missed in class!

Answers:

  1.  apuntes (notes)

  2. correo electrónico (Email)

Explanation:

  1. apuntes

In Spanish, "apuntes" refers to written or recorded notes taken during a class, lecture, or any educational activity, or also to remember something that you dont want to forget.

While "apuntes" is the most common term for notes in an academic context, "notas" can also be used to refer to written records or remarks made during a class or meeting. It is a more general term that encompasses various types of notes, including those taken in academic settings.

  2. correo electrónico

“Correo electrónico" is the Spanish term for "Email”. Note that it is “por correo electrónico” to say “per Email” (and not “con correo electrónico” or “para”, “en” etc).

While "correo electrónico" is the formal term for Email, "email" is a also a widely accepted and commonly used abbreviation, especially in informal or colloquial contexts. It is often used interchangeably with "correo electrónico" in everyday conversation and written communication.
